PRIVACY POLICY
What data we keep, and why.
In force since September 26, 2026
The Word sends the Gospel of each day to a WhatsApp group or to Telegram. To do that, it needs to know very little about you — and this document says exactly what.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you subscribe, we keep three things, all of them given by you:
- Your name, as you want to be called.
- Your WhatsApp number. It is where we send the group invite, how we check who in the group is up to date, and what identifies your subscription. In the group only the admins post, and your number is not shown to the other members.
- Where you prefer to receive it — the WhatsApp group or Telegram.
We also keep a record of which days we have already sent you — that is what stops the same message arriving twice — and the history of your charges (amount, date, payment method and status).
WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT
We never see your card, your tax ID or your address. Payment happens entirely on an Asaas page, and that data never passes through our servers at any point. From the payment, we only get back the notice that it happened and an identifier for the charge.
We also do not read your conversations, do not access your contact list, and do not use advertising trackers on the site.
IF YOU SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE
Signing in is not required to receive the message — the product works by phone number. Sign-in exists so you can adjust your own subscription and, if you are a volunteer, record the reading. When you sign in, we receive from Google your name, email and profile picture, and nothing beyond that.
If you record a reading, we keep the audio, along with your name and picture, so that whoever listens knows who read. An approved reading is sent to every subscriber for that day and gets a public address.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
Only with those needed for the message to exist:
- Asaas — processes the payments and issues the receipts.
- WhatsApp — is how the message reaches you.
- Supabase — where the data is stored.
- OpenAI / ElevenLabs — generate the artwork, the reflection and, when there is no volunteer reading, the day's narration. They receive the liturgical text, which is public and the same for everyone; no data of yours is sent to them.
We do not sell, rent or hand over your data to anyone.
FOR HOW LONG
While you subscribe, and after that for as long as needed to meet tax and accounting obligations for the charges. If you ask to stop receiving, your data stops being used for delivery, but the record keeps existing — that is what lets you come back later without starting over.
If you want permanent deletion, just ask.
YOUR RIGHTS
Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) gives you the right to know what data we hold, correct anything wrong, request a copy, withdraw consent and ask for deletion. To exercise any of them, just talk to us.
To stop receiving, you can also reply PARAR to the message itself, or use your account page.
SECURITY
The data sits in a database with restricted access, and the keys that grant broad access never leave the server. The subscriber list is not visible from the browser under any circumstance.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
The contact details of the data controller have not been published yet. In the meantime, use your account page to change or end the subscription.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes affecting what we do with your data will be announced in the daily message itself.
